SECONDARY CLIL

ERASMUS + IES ASTRABUDUA BHI: SECONDARY CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning)

Hi! My name is Arantza Gallastegi and I teach Chemistry and Physics in ASTRABUDUA secondary school. Thanks to the ERASMUS+ KA1 project , 'Towards multilingualism', we prepared during the 2016-2017 course, I had the opportunity of taking part in one of the mobilities of the project.
In July, before start my holidays I had the opportunity of improving my knowledge in teaching using CLIL .
I travelled to Oxford and I did the course in The Brtish Studies Centre. In the course we learnt about CLIL and focus on specific areas of language development for classroom management and instruction. We learnt teaching techniques and how we could adapt  and create materials of subjects across the curriculum for CLIL lessons. We also worked in the use of technology in class.

Apart from  all the information we got during the course, we knew other teachers and we also enjoyed the cultural visits the school proposed for the afternoons. Oxford is a really interesting town, ideal for sightseeing!

For example the wonderful "Pitt Rivers Museum "

or  The Botanic Garden:
